Tote End Old Boys announce 'The 3 Stadiums Walk', raising funds for The Community Trust

Updated: Jul 15, 2022

The Tote End Old Boys are working together with The Community Trust to host an exciting and challenging fundraising event, The 3 Stadium Walks 2022!

Taking place on Sunday 9th October 2022, we are asking our fans and supporters to dig out their walking shoes, grab a bottle of water, get the dog lead out and join us on a 13.2 mile walk around the 3 homes of Bristol Rovers FC.

Starting at Twerton Park, which was home to Rovers for 10 years between 1986 and 1996, then making our way along to Eastville. Our final stretch of walk will see us head to the Memorial Stadium, our current home, where our walkers will finish the 13.2 mile walk.

The route will be clearly marked and will be marshalled by volunteers and students from the Bristol Rovers Community College. There will also be a number of water stations available .

Once back at the Memorial stadium the bar will be open, we will have live music and food available, so we welcome everyone to come along and cheer on our walkers and enjoy an afternoon of fun.

John Kayes, of Tote End Old Boys said: "We are proud to be doing the 3 Stadiums Walk in aid of Bristol Rovers Community Trust. As you know we get involved in raising money mostly to enhance the fans experience at The Mem and to encourage new support as well as other projects in the community, TTEOBs have paid for all the quality medals to be made for the people that take part in the walk and will be covering other expenses, this means that 100% of all money raised can be paid directly to the trust. This will help the trust to carry on doing great work that that have been doing over the years with many awards being given to them for the outstanding efforts they all put in."

Also taking part is former player Ian Alexander, who said "I am doing the 3 stadium walk to try and give something back to the Bristol Rovers Community. The Gas were a major part of my professional football career and I have some great memories"

Adam Tutton, CEO of Bristol Rovers Community Trust said "We are incredibly thankful for the amazing effort that John and all of the Tote End Old Boys have put in to arrange the 3 Stadiums Walk and for their amazing support. Every penny raised will continue to be invested into our projects which will positively impact more lives in our community"

We are asking those taking part to rally up their friends and family to sponsor them, lets face it walking 13.2 miles isn't something we all do on a regular basis! Every penny raised will go direct to the Bristol Rovers Community Trust and will be used to support and build existing projects as well as help to get new initiatives off the ground.
