Bristol Rovers Women's are delighted to announce that we are now accepting registrations of interest for our upcoming 'Open Sessions' in July 2021, with dates to be confirmed in due course. You can register your interest by clicking here.
The sessions are open for anyone to attend as long as they are 16+ from 1st September 2021 and will take place at the £6m facility at Lockleaze Sports Centre, Bonnington Walk, BS7 9XF.
Club Secretary Matthew Davies, said "As always, anyone is welcome to attend our 'Open Sessions' this summer. Amongst the staff we ensure that we create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for everyone who attends for the first time and that everyone enjoys their time with us. As an amateur, grassroots club we thrive to offer women and girls from the community the best professional experience that we can with our qualified volunteer staff. We can't wait to see you all in July!"
How do the sessions work?
Once you have registered your interest with us, a member of the team will be in touch with you in a few weeks to confirm dates, times and answer any questions you may have. Once you arrive at Lockleaze Sports Centre for your session, a member of staff will get you registered and will show you to your group. Once our fitness coach has completed your warm-up with the rest of the squad, you will be put into your groups to take part in a session followed by some small sided games.
What happens after the session?
If you have been successful, a member of the coaching staff will be in touch with you shortly after to invite you in for more sessions, leading into pre-season. At this stage we can chat about your plans for the season. If you haven't been successful, we still welcome anyone to come along to sessions once the season begins as we strive to offer footballing opportunities for all within the community.
