Following the incredible success of the inaugural session of “5K Your Way,” Bristol Rovers player Taylor Moore and the Bristol Rovers Community Trust are delighted to invite you to the second session of this inspiring mental health initiative. Taking place on Thursday, 30th January at 6:30 PM, the event will once again bring people together to promote both physical and mental well-being through a supportive 5K walk.

The first session, held in October, saw an amazing turnout with over 40 participants, including fans, players, and members of the community. Starting at the SS Great Britain, the walk created a relaxed and welcoming environment for open conversations about mental health. Taylor Moore, who has championed the project, was thrilled with the response.

“I was blown away by the support for the first ‘5K Your Way’ session. Seeing so many people come together to talk, walk, and support each other was amazing. Mental health is something I’m passionate about, and this initiative really shows the power of simple acts like walking and connecting with others.”

Second Session Details

📅 Date: Thursday, 30th January

📍 Starting Point: SS Great Britain (parking available at the Maritime Heritage Centre car park)

Participants will enjoy a 5K walk through the scenic Bristol Harbourside area. Dogs are welcome to join, and after the walk, there will be a casual gathering where attendees can continue the conversation and reflect on the evening.

“5K Your Way” aims to combine the benefits of physical activity with social connection, providing an accessible and inclusive way to enhance mental well-being. The initiative is part of Taylor Moore’s role as Bristol Rovers Community Trust’s Health Ambassador, where he continues to promote the vital link between staying active and maintaining good mental health.

Community Trust CEO Adam Tutton reflected on the success of the project “We were thrilled with the turnout and positive energy at the first session. It reinforced how important initiatives like ‘5K Your Way’ are in breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and creating opportunities for meaningful connections. We’re excited to see even more people join us in January.”
