Bristol Rovers Community Trust is delighted to welcome Police Constable Steven Dix, the newly appointed Avon & Somerset Police Dedicated Football Officer for Bristol Rovers. PC Dix brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to this role and has already expressed his commitment to supporting the Trust’s projects.
PC Dix will work closely with the club, its fans, and the wider community to ensure football remains a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive experience for everyone. He has expressed a strong interest in engaging with key projects such as Premier League Kicks and Bristol Rovers Community College, further enhancing their positive impact.
Speaking about his new role, PC Dix said, “The main focus of my role is to ensure football remains a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive experience for all fans. Growing up as a football fan, I understand the passion, excitement, the game can bring and a club like Bristol Rovers is part of the community with a lot of fans having many years of connection to the club via family and friends. My role encompasses working with clubs, fans, and all that attend the club to prevent crime and disorder. This means I will attend many of the matches both at home and away, acting as a focal point bringing together the police, supporters and the club providing advice and support. Some of you may have seen me attend games already or for those that have not feel free to approach me for a chat and I can explain further what my role is and the benefit it is designed to bring to Bristol Rovers.”
Adam Tutton, CEO of Bristol Rovers Community Trust, said, “We are thrilled to have PC Dix join us in this capacity. His dedication to creating a safe and inclusive environment aligns perfectly with our values and we look forward to working closely with him to continue making a positive impact across our projects.”
