'JOCKY' - THE HIDDEN IMPACT
This event is an open, honest and real conversation starter on the injuries that can come from playing sport.

It is open to all former players as well as grassroots players and coaches and fans interested in learning more about brain injury in sport.
The experienced panel of speakers will be discussing current research in the field of brain injury in sport, including work on Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE)- a type of dementia found in sports people. The panel will also consider how best individuals can be supported when athletes have experienced brain injury in sport.

We are thrilled to have a panel of experts and former players who will share their knowledge and experiences openly with the audience.
Dr Adam J White - Head of Brain Health at the Professional Footballers Association (PFA)
Dawn Astle MBE - founder of the Jeff Astle Foundation
Ian Alexander (Jocky) - former Bristol Rovers player
David Rodgers - former Bristol City player
During the evening legends Ian and Dave will discuss their own personal experiences of the impact of concussions and brain injuries on themselves and their families.

This event takes place on Thursday 20th March, from 7pm at The Seat Unique Suite, The Memorial Stadium.

We will be asking for a £5 ticket fee for this event and the evening will also include a raffle and ribbon sale with all profits raised going to charities and causes close to Ian Alexander in his continued battle with CTE.
